Upverse

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains what information the game Upverse (Google Play package com.xeinebiu.upverse), developed by xeinebiu, uses and why. The short version: the game has no accounts and keeps your game data on your device. The free Android version shows ads through Google, which processes some data as described below.

Game data on your device

The game stores your best heights, coins, daily streak, missions, hangar looks, purchases and settings locally on your device, so they are there when you come back. This game data is not sent to the developer. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, this data is deleted and your progress may be lost.

Advertising (free Android version)

The free version on Google Play shows ads through Google AdMob:

  • reward videos that you choose to watch, for example to double your coins, keep climbing after a fall, or receive a daily coin gift;
  • occasional ads between runs, never during a climb.

To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and in the Google Privacy Policy.

Your consent and choices

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent the first time it starts, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Options → Ad privacy choices. If you do not consent, the game may still show ads that are not personalised.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (on most devices: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Purchases

The one-time purchase Remove Ads is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy; the game only learns whether the purchase was made, so it can switch off the ads between runs and unlock the Supporter look. A purchase can be restored in the game under Options → Restore purchases.

Leaderboards (Google Play Games)

On Android the game can post your best heights to leaderboards through Google Play Games. This uses your Play Games profile, which Google manages: your player name, avatar and scores are shared with Google and shown to other players on the leaderboards, as set in your Play Games settings. The developer only sees what the leaderboards show. You can play without Play Games; Google's terms are in the Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing

When you tap Share after a run, the game makes a picture of your height on your device and hands it to your phone's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it; the game does not send it anywhere itself.

Paid versions

Versions of the game sold for a price, or played in a web browser, contain no ads, use no advertising services and collect no data beyond what the store itself processes under its own terms.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Permissions

The Android version uses internet and network state access to load ads and check purchases, the advertising ID and Android ad services permissions that Google's ads SDK needs, a wake lock and background service used by Google's SDKs, and the Google Play billing permission for the Remove Ads purchase. It does not access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
